It is a sleeeeeepy kinda day here. I’m sleepy. The sun is sleepy. Even the clouds can’t wake up and move off the mountains. It’s looking like winter here out the window to the east, but out west it’s a blue sky and sunshine. What a funny kinda day.

I had such a great day yesterday. My friend Beth and I hung out at mondo cafe in Taos and shared ideas about everything we’re doing with our art and new website designs, marketing campaings, stories, printmaking, and other creative stuff. I love her work and love having her around to bounce ideas off. It’s amazing how much further ideas can expand and come to life when you share them with the right person(s). It’s easy sometimes to get down on myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed, and a good friend can lift that fog and re-energize you with just a few words of genuine excitement or encouragement. Thanks, Beth! I’m also trying to get out more–you know, not “hole-up” in my studio, which can be easy to do sometimes–and play and interact with society–or, at least cool peeps. It is so important and helpful for the soul…

In the afternoon we went to the print shop, but I just wasn’t feelin’ it. I felt a little impatient and unfocused and started getting frustrated. Oh well–it happens. My mind was in a creative place, but it couldn’t stop thinking of a particular story I’ve been working on. (Stories are like that–they tend to take over your days until you complete them!) SO, all I have to share are just a couple of goofy prints.
