a little excursion to Santa Fe for 2 days. ahhh, city life! on foot ’round town, book stores galore and funky cafes and snow flurries. no, not flurries, but BIG, FAT FLAKES, falling, blowing, pouring. a triple-long, slow drive home up through the canyon, ’round taos climbing to 8000ft, snow piling up higher and higher the higher we go. vdub got stuck soon after the turn-off home so we hiked the rest of the way through 2 ft of untouched snow, us laughing, toes tingling. Oso hopping, disappearing here and there into soft white. a gazillion stars lighting the way. ahhh, we’re home. fire blazing. and runnin’ outside in the buff. ice cold feet for a moment, then a long soak in the tub under trees looking like Big Bird and other funny creatures dressed in globs of heavy snow. long deep breaths, and a blazer of a shooting star. shvooooom. dang! mmm, wish.
oh, and our morning view…
