Well, I slept off my mountain exhaustion and am feeling all oxygenated. I have some fun new projects and am now diving into my book head first. Weee. Also, I just posted about our visit with Mata Prasad on chai pilgrimage. It was fun revisiting our time with him! Such a sweet man.

Here is a Thanksgiving placemat I made for Land of Nod a copule months ago. It’s now available on their website here with personalization of a child’s name on the front-n-center name card. It was challenging creating a scene with so many things going on and details, etc., but I think it turned out fun. I particularly like the grandpa and kids on the rug, plus all the little collage elements. I wanted to create a scene that wasn’t so typical, so I tried to make it have a more rustic feel with the open room, kiva fireplace and wood floor. And even though I’m a vegetarian, there’s just no getting around the turkey on the table. I suggested a sushi Thanksgiving, but that didn’t fly. Hee. The leaf pattern is the reverse.

I always loved placemats as a kid…heck, I still love placemats. They are like the backs of cereal boxes–so much to look at! I hope kids enjoy this one!
